The Play:

Oldbury Reps grand finale to the 2006/07 Season is the stage version of the hit TV sitcom Are you being served?
To the delight of the fans everywhere thsi popular show is bought to the stage by its creators/writers Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft. The same team who was responsible for 'Allo 'Allo, another all time favourite and a sell out success when it was staged at the Oldbury Rep in 2005.
The Motley crew of Grace Brothers prepare for a sale of German goods with chaotic results and then depart for the staff holiday at a one star hotel in Spain where more chaos results as they get involved in a local revolution.

A not to be missed end of season romp leaving Mr Humphries free and Mrs Slocombe still searching for her pussy!

Press: Sitcom treat lives again

ARE you free? If so, a visit to see this stage version of the famous TV sitcom about the mixed-up staff of the Grace Brothers store wouldn't be a bad idea.
It was chosen as the finale to the company's current season, and they certainly do justice to te story by Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft.
The first act gives a taste of business in the store, with a dash of realism created by a cleverly-constructed lift from which the staff emerge at various times, while in the second half they take a dodgy holiday together in Spain
There are several hilarious scenes in the store, none better than when a set of clockwork false teeth, hidden on the Y-fronts of a tailor's dummy, begin to chatter!
Lisa Smith gives a delightful performance as the posing Mrs Slicombe. She is totally convincing, and so is Guy Radforth in the role of Captain Peacock, with Andy Worley an amusing Mr Humphries, the gay assitant.
