The Play:
The action takes place in the apartments of Marc, Serge and Yvan without any apparent change of scene apart from lighting.
Serge has bought a painting for a massive amount of money. Marc hates the painting and cannot understand what Serge thought he was doing - Yvan endeavours to be on both sides at the same time.
What is art? It is a signed urinal by Duchamp or a landscape by John Constable? It doesn't really matter as the play is about friendship and what happens to a friendship when shared values are, in one persons view, discarded.
