The Play:
Preparing for a mystery trip to Scarborough, three northern coach drivers pass the time remembering more exciting trips, such as the one down the Rhine Valley. Stick hates his passengers and wishes he was doing the Spansih run, Larry is a seasoned traveller and Mario Lanza fan and Frank is their female counterpart. The three actors take turns playing an assortment of passengers, from dotty old complainers to retired miners seeking excitement on too little money. A touching, often hilarious, bitter-sweet play.

Coach caper is wheelie great fun
JUST what the jovial coach drivers really think about some of their passengers is revealed in this very amusing and well staged John Godber comedy.
The people behind the wheel are pleasant to the faces of their customers, but
privately tear them to shreds.
Preparing for a tour of Scarborough, drivers Frank, Stick and Larry recall more
exotic trips to places like the Rhine Valley and the remarkable souvenir-seeking
characters in the seats behind them.
Simply by donning a variety of headgear, the excellent cast of three switch from being drivers to punters
